Utensils-Grapefruit Knife & Grapefruit Spoon
|
There are several types of
utensils specially designed for cutting and eating grapefruit. Among the
utensils are grapefruit knife, grapefruit spoon, and
Grapefruiter™ sectioning tool.
A
grapefruit knife is about the size of a butter
knife with the purpose of dissecting grapefruit. It has a double-serrated
blade with the last couple inches gently
curved. It is this curve that gives the grapefruit knife its awesome power
to efficiently section a grapefruit.
How to use a grapefruit knife:
- Using a kitchen knife, slice your
grapefruit in half along its equator.
- Run the grapefruit knife all the way
around the grapefruit half between the rind and the sweet succulent
juicy pulp.
- Slide the grapefruit knife between the
membrane and pulp of each individual section.
A
grapefruit spoon is about the size of a teaspoon and has a sharp
and serrated end. The serrations make it easy to slice and scoop out the
sections of a grapefruit from the membrane inside the peel.

Grapefruiter™ sectioning tool
can section citrus in a snap. Simply insert the Grapefruiter™ into a
halved grapefruit with narrow part of blade at center and squeeze.
Release or remove the grapefruit section and enjoy! |
